Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 2 (1997)


Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 2 (1997) is the second season of the supernatural horror series which created by Joss Whedon. New vampires arrive in Sunnydale and Angel wreaks havoc.

DADDY: What did you think of this season? 

LILLY: I thought it was scarier than the first season but I thought that was better.

DADDY: Really?

LILLY: Yeah.

DADDY: I like this one more.

LILLY: Really?

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) because if it wasn't for her the monsters would take over Sunnydale.

DADDY: I like Spike (James Marsters), he's my favourite character in the entire series.

LILLY: Why do you always like the villains?

DADDY: I think they are more interesting.

LILLY: No they are not!

DADDY: What was your favourite episode?

LILLY: Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered when Xander (Nicholas Brendan) uses witchcraft and makes all the girls love him.

DADDY: Me too that one is hilarious and he can't handle it.

LILLY: No.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes if they have seen the first season..

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Forty because it isn't as good as the first season..

DADDY: I like it more so I'll give it fifty-five. Mummy and me queued for hours to get James Marsters autograph once.

LILLY: I really want Buffy's autograph!

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)


The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) is a science fiction film and the second part of The Hunger Games trilogy based upon the novel by Suzanne Collins. Survivors of previous games are brought back to fight again as rebellion broods in the twelve districts. It was directed by Francis Lawrence with the screenplay written by Simon Beaufoy and Michael deBruyn.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: It wasn't as good as the first one.

DADDY: Yeah I liked that better too.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) because she sacrifices herself for her family and the revolution.

DADDY: I like her too, another reluctant hero as most of them tend to be.

LILLY:Yes they do.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: Probably when Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) says they are having a baby.

DADDY: Me too but the plan doesn't work

LILLY: My least favourite moment is when the stylist (Lenny Kravitz) is hurt.

DADDY: Yes that was a bit grim. .

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes but the first film is better and you need to watch that first.

DADDY: This is the middle film and it isn't as good as the first. Mum says the books are better.

LILLY: I would like to read the books.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: 20 because it should have been longer and explain things better

DADDY: 15 for me because I agree, it ended very abruptly and I felt you needed to have read the book to fully understand the film.

LILLY: Yeah.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 1 (1997)


Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 1 (1997) is a supernatural horror series which follows the adventures of Buffy Summers high school student and reluctant slayer of vampires and her "Scooby Gang" of friends. It was created by Joss Whedon.

DADDY: What did you think of the series? 

LILLY: I thought it was a really exciting big series and scary too..

DADDY: I warned you that it might be too scary.

LILLY: It wasn't!

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) because she is an awesome slayer.

DADDY: She doesn't really want to be though.

LILLY: Yes but she still tries her best.

DADDY:You don't get to choose when you are the chosen one.

LILLY: Obviously.

DADDY: I like her mentor Rupert (Anthony Head) because he is so British but there are loads of great characters.

LILLY: Yes especially Angel (David Boreanaz)

DADDY: What was your favourite episode?

LILLY: I have two I Robot... You, Jane because at the end they realize that all of them have had a crush on a monster,  they laugh and then they frown.

DADDY: That is funny.

LILLY: I like the the last one Prophecy Girl too because Buffy punches Rupert and tells Jenny Calendar (Robia LaMorte) to think of something cool and say she said it.

DADDY: Rupert gets knocked out all the time.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: No because it would be too scary for some of them.

DADDY: But you are good with scary?

LILLY: Yes!

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: It is probably the best series I have ever watched so I'll give it fifty stars.

DADDY: It is one of the best series ever made so I'll give it fifty too. It is fantastic. 

LILLY: Yeah!

The Hunger Games (2012)



The Hunger Games (2012) is a science fiction film based upon the novel by Suzanne Collins. Every year teens are chosen to battle to the death in an arena as punishment for a past rebellion. The film was directed by Gary Ross with a screenplay by Suzanne Collins and Gary Ray

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it was exciting and you didn't know what would happen next.

DADDY: I liked it too but was it too scary for you?

LILLY: Not at all.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) because she was perfect for the role.

DADDY: Me too but I also liked her mentor Haymitch (Woody Harrelson).

LILLY: I thought he was a coward at the start because he was only interested in drinking.

DADDY: He came good though.

LILLY: Yes.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: That would be when Katniss kisses Peeta (Josh Hutcherson).

DADDY: I like the bit at the end when they discover there is only going to be one winner after all.

LILLY: Yeah.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes as it is a fun and exciting film to watch.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: 30 as it is a fun and exciting film to watch.

DADDY: 20 stars for me as there are other films like this that I prefer.

LILLY: I think this is the best film I have watched in my entire life!

DADDY: Wow! So you are looking forward to the next film then?

LILLY: Yes and I have heard that it is even better.

DADDY: Are you glad that we don't live in a society like the one in the movie.

LILLY: Yes.

Jurassic Park III (2001)




Jurassic Park III (2001) is the third Jurassic Park film directed by Joe Johnson and written by Peter Buchman, Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor. A divorced couple trick Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) into helping them rescue their son.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it was absolutely awesome and scary.

DADDY: I thought it was a good idea to have a simpler story this time around.

LILLY: Me too but I still prefer the first two movies because they are more original.

DADDY: Yeah.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: My favourite character was the boy Eric (Trevor Morgan) because he kept himself alive for eight weeks.

DADDY: I think he is the real hero of this movie.

LILLY: I agree.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When the army arrives at the end and and Eric says Dr. Grant has to thank Ellie (Laura Dern) now.

DADDY: I like the bit when they are trapped on the plane but the film is quite exciting throughout.

LILLY: Yeah.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes and no because I think you have to see the first and second one and it wasn't as amazing.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Nine stars because it isn't very original

DADDY: Ten for me because it has some great monsters.

DADDY: Are you looking forward to the next Jurassic Park movie?

LILLY: Yeah!

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)



Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) is a fantasy adventure film directed by Stephen Spielberg . The screenplay was written by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman. Archeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is tasked with finding the ark of the covenant before it falls into the hands of the Nazis.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it was great and exciting.

DADDY: Me too it was my favourite film when I was younger and I still enjoy it now.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: My favourite character is Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) because he is always on an adventure.

DADDY: Me too, but you said he was a bit of a show off.

LILLY: He's also that.

DADDY: I think he is just good at what he does.

LILLY: I agree.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: My favourite moment is when the big guy with the sword appears and he just shoots him.

DADDY: I like that too and the bit with the mummies.

LILLY: Yes.

DADDY: Indy was supposed to have a fight with the swordsman but Harrison Ford had a funny tummy so he asked if he could just shoot him instead.

LILLY: LOL.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes because it is a great film.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Eleven out of fifteen because I didn't understand some bits

DADDY: All the stuff about Nazis and magical Jewish boxes could be a bit confusing I suppose but I am giving it fifteen stars because it is the best.

DADDY: When I was younger I taught myself how to use a bullwhip because of this movie.

LILLY: LOL.

DADDY: I hurt myself quite a bit.

LILLY: LOL.

DADDY: Mum thinks the second film is too scary for you.

LILLY: Don't tell her we are gonna watch it!

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)



The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) is a science fiction sequel directed by Stephen Spielberg . The screenplay is again written by David Koepp and loosely adapted from Michael Crichton's novel The Lost World. Dinosaurs have secretly survived and roam freely on a deserted island but that is about to change.


This week we are joined by our new puppy Stella the Wonder Dog.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it should have explained things better at the begining and I didn't get why everyone was on the island.

DADDY: Yeah but it had some good bits.

LILLY: I guess.

STELLA: Woof!

DADDY: Who was your favourite character? 

LILLY: Malcolm's daughter Kelly (Vanessa Lee Chester) because she was curious. 

DADDY: I liked the hunter Roland Tembo (Pete Postlethwaite) because he was the most interesting character and he changed. Pete Postlethwaite was one of my favourite actors.

STELLA: Woof!

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When Malcolm realised his daughter was on the island.

DADDY: That was a good bit. I liked the dinosaur hunt because it was really exciting and they had some great toys.

LILLY: I liked that too.

STELLA: Woof!

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes because it is still exciting and funny.

DADDY: I thought the first one was better.

LILLY: I have to agree.

STELLA: Woof!

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Eight out of fifteen because it should have explained things better.

DADDY: I agree and I'm giving it only ten.

STELLA: Woof, woof woof, woof, woof woof, woof, woof!

DADDY: I don't think Stella liked seeing the dog get eaten.

LILLY: Lol.

DADDY: Would you go to a zoo if they had dinosaurs? 

LILLY: No because they would probably kill me and I'm too young to die!

STELLA: Woof!

DADDY: Yes Stella I think dinosaurs are better when they are bones too.

Jurassic Park (1993)



Jurassic Park (1993) is a science fiction film directed by Stephen Spielberg based upon the novel by Micheal Crichton with a screenplay by him and David Koepp. At team of investigators are put together to assess the safety of a wildlife park filled with cloned dinosaurs.   

DADDY: What did you think of the movie? 

LILLY: I thought it was good but a bit hard to understand. It didn't explain things properly.

DADDY: They tried to. The main problem for me is that it takes too long to get going.

LILLY: Yeah.

DADDY: And I don't think it does a very good job of explaining the science for kids.

LILLY: I have to agree but the animation is very nice.

DADDY: Twenty years later and it still looks great. Some of the best computer graphics ever.

LILLY: Really?

DADDY: Yeah.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) because he doesn't like children at the beginning but changes his mind. 

DADDY: He's my favourite too but I also like the mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm  (Jeff Goldblum).

LILLY: I think he is very cool.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When the lawyer  (Donald Gennaro) gets eaten after leaving the kids.

DADDY: That is quite funny, he is such a creep.

LILLY: Yes.

DADDY: My favourite moment is when the kids are being hunted by raptors in the kitchen.

LILLY: It was too scary!

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: I would recommend the film because it was scary and had good animation.

DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Ten out of fifteen because it was exciting but didn't explain things very well.

DADDY: Thirteen for me because it needed to get going quicker but it is great when it does.

LILLY: Yeah.

DADDY: Do you think it would be a good idea to bring back dinosaurs?

LILLY: No because as you saw in the movie everyone would die.
