Dragonslayer (1981)

Dragonslayer (1981) is a fantasy film directed by Mathew Robbins and written by him and Hal Barwood. A young apprentice wizard is sent on a quest to slay the last dragon Vermthrax Pejorative.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie?

LILLY: It is brilliant.

DADDY: I know and I loved the dragon

LILLY: Me too.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: I liked the priest who made out that God had killed the dragon.

DADDY: The king said he did it too.

LILLY: I know but it was funnier when the priest did it.

DADDY: I liked the old wizard Ulrich (Ralph Richardson) because he knew everything.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When the priest said God killed the dragon and  the king said he did it.

DADDY: I think that says you cannot trust them.

LILLY: I agree.

DADDY: I liked the bit when the apprentice Galen (Peter MacNicol) fights the dragon because it is awesome.

LILLY: That's good but not the best bit.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes because it is awesome and educational.

DADDY: I think so too..
 
DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: I'm giving this one thirty five because I love it.

DADDY: Thirty five from me too then..

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) is a musical stop motion fantasy film directed by Henry Selick and produced/co-written by Tim Burton.
The King of Halloween Town Jack Skellington has grown bored of the same yearly routine and decides to have a go at being Father Christmas.

DADDY: What did you think of the movie?

LILLY: It's a fantastic and wonderful film.

DADDY:Yes it's an old favourite of ours isn't it?

LILLY: I love it a lot and it is a good film to celebrate the second anniversary of the blog.

DADDY: I agree.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: Doctor Finklestein (William Hickey) because he is evil and creepy like you.

DADDY: I like him too, he's a genius.

LILLY:With a capital G.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY:When they send Santa (Ed Ivory) to Oogie Boogie (Ken Page). I love the things he does.

DADDY:I like the bit when Jack Skellington (Chris Sarandon) discovers Christmas land.

LILLY:That's an awesome moment too.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes I would recommend it for everyone because it is so awesome.

DADDY: Me too.
 
DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY:Thirty,

DADDY: At least thirty.

Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Little Shop of Horrors (1986) is a comedy horror musical based upon the stage musical of the same name which was itself an adaptation of the Roger Corman film Little Shop of Horrors (1960). It was directed by Frank Oz with a screenplay by Howard Ashman. A struggling florist finds success when he discovers an alien carnivourous plant in this Faustian tale

DADDY: What did you think of the movie?

LILLY: It was awesome.

DADDY: I like it a lot too.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: It was the plant Audrey II (Levi Stubbs), I liked how he drank blood and killed people. He was a killing machine

DADDY: He does steal the movie and he is a great singer too.

LILLY: Yeah, I agree.

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: Probably the bit when the dentist (Steve Martin) sings his song.

DADDY: Me too, it's great and very funny.

LILLY: Yes.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes because it is wonderful and I love that it has songs and it is also a bit scary. I could watch it again and again.
 
DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Forty, best movie ever!

DADDY: One of the best, forty for me too.

LILLY: Does uncle Victor have an Audrey II?

DADDY: He does have a lot of carnivorous plants but I don't think he has one of them yet.

LILLY: Shame.

Maleficent (2014)

Maleficent (2014) is a Disney fantasy film directed by Robert Stromberg with a screenplay by Linda Woolverton. It is a live-action re-imagening of Disney's animated classic movie Sleeping Beauty (1959).

DADDY: What did you think of the movie?

LILLY: I thought it was magnificent.

DADDY: I was a bit bored.

LILLY: You snored through the movie, at least you didn't do that watching Twilight (2008).

DADDY: Well call me old fashioned but I like my villains to be evil.

LILLY: Really?

DADDY:Yep.

DADDY: Who was your favourite character?

LILLY: Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) because she was evil but became good through the power of love.

DADDY: I liked the raven (Sam Riley) because he was quite funny. 

DADDY: What was your favourite moment?

LILLY: When the good faries try to feed the baby princess carrots.

DADDY: I liked the bit with the dragon. I like dragons and that woke me up.

LILLY: LOL.

DADDY: Would you recommend it to your friends?

LILLY: Yes because it is wonderful movie and great whatever you think and everyone should see it.
 
DADDY: How many stars would you give it?

LILLY: Thirty five.

DADDY: Only ten for me, I have seen worse movies and I had a nice little snooze.
